• Ask MetaFilter: What does it feel like to have ADD or ADHD? This thread really struck a chord with me, featuring many anecdotal examples of what it’s like living with this invisible disability.

• Fashion bloggers’ finances are something I’ve been quietly curious about since I was introduced to the fashionblogosphere. This week has seen two articles touching on the subject; first there’s Finance & the Fashion Blogger: Ignore-ance by XX, and then the New York Post interviews Gala Darling (along with 4 other New Yorkers) about her shopping habits. Gala commented on twitter “A lot of what I said, like that I shop for my job, to me “shopping” does not always mean spending money, I don’t have a credit card, I think it’s important to support small businesses, etc., was left out. But then, I knew it would be ;D”

• Yesterday I was excited to see a brightly coloured icon appear in the Featured section of the app store; ABOVE is a simple & addictive game featuring the bright artwork of Matthew M. Laskowski.

• Earlier this week a Facebook security hole allowed crafty users to view their friends’ live chats, followed by a second security flop which allowed malware to be installed while surfing sites outside of Facebook. This is all following the link I shared last week

• How cute is the kaoiro stamp‽ “Kaoiro” (which means “facial expression” in Japanese) is japanese emoticon stamp pretending to be the date stamp. This stamp that mixing digital culture with a old style stationary has 7 belts and around 20 symbols. via @bottomlesspop

• With the weather shifting in the Northern hemisphere to spring showers shifting into warm, sunny skies and an environment of lush greenery it seems time like no other to indulge the auditory senses in fresh playlists I’ve plucked from some of my favourite blogs this April:

• Ska in Spring from Chloe brings me right back to that joyous feeling of knowing a year of school is coming to a close. She tidied her office while listening to this mix.
• Gala’s Spring Mix
• Spring Fling Volume I: 60′s Girl Groups from Agent Lover. accompanying some love for my fave Cher movie, Mermaids
• Gala also put together a Coachella Mixtape. Busy lil’ playlister, eh!

• And as the warm weather & longer days settle in so does the desire for cold drinks. Thankfully, Lifehacker has some tips for finding lighter beers that work with lunch. (Wherein “lighter” refers to alcohol volume, not taste!) We shall see if I heed any of this sagely advice…

• Back in 2006 AOL committed a privacy blunder with the release of over 35 million search queries, connecting these queries to user IDs. Recently, a friend rediscovered & shared with me the sordid tale of User 711391, a Texas woman whose sordid tale of an affair with an internet lover is made explicitly clear from her bizarre method of posing questions & statements to the search bar as though it were a friend or some higher power. Her queries have since been transformed into an episodic documentary, “I Love Alaska.”

• Tavi fans the fashion blogosphere’s flames of passion for Sassy Magazine. It is my hope that we are well on the road to the death of the 80′s throwback hipster dbag.

• Santa Clara County in California is banning the offering of toys with fast food, such as the Happy Meal. Personally, I don’t think it is the government’s place to act as a parent, nor is this getting to the root of the problem.

• And on the subject of fast food, I gave up some big laughs for Merlin Mann’s take on KFC‘s new brown thing you’ll totally eat. This is, of course, the Double Down.

• The Electronic Frontier Foundation — “the leading civil liberties group defending your rights in the digital world” — shares their timeline of Facebook’s Eroding Privacy Policy.

• Facsinating video of a helicopter which has the camera shutter speed synchronized with the helicopter blade frequency, causing it to appear as though its blades are immobile. No, really! It’s pretty cool.

• I have some serious love for Evan Hecox’s work depicting cities; just look at those laptop sleeves! When hard currency is more readily available I think I should, perhaps, bestow one of his prints upon my wall.
